CTET (केंद्रीय शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा) Paper 2 के गणित एवं शिक्षाशास्त्र अनुभाग में कुल 25 इकाइयाँ शामिल हैं। यह सेक्शन अभ्यर्थियों की गणितीय अवधारणाओं की समझ, समस्या-समाधान क्षमता एवं गणित शिक्षण विधियों का मूल्यांकन करता है। कुल 30 प्रश्न (30 अंक) पूछे जाते हैं – 30 प्रश्न गणित सामग्री एवं गणित शिक्षण शास्त्र पर आधारित। Paper 2 का गणित स्तर कक्षा 6-8 के अनुरूप होता है और इसमें बीजगणित, अंकगणितीय समस्याएँ, ज्यामिति आदि उच्च स्तर पर पूछे जाते हैं।
The Mathematics and Pedagogy section of CTET Paper 2 comprises 25 units. This section tests candidates' understanding of mathematical concepts, problem-solving ability, and mathematics teaching methodologies. A total of 30 questions (30 marks) are asked – covering both mathematics content and mathematics pedagogy. Paper 2 Mathematics is of class 6-8 level and includes Algebra, Arithmetic Problems, Geometry, etc. at a higher level.
गणित (17 अध्याय): संख्या पद्धति, LCM-HCF, वर्ग-वर्गमूल एवं घन-घनमूल, बीजगणित, अंकगणित पर आधारित समस्याएँ, ज्यामिति, क्षेत्रमिति, आँकडों का प्रबन्धन, गणितीय मूल संक्रियाएँ, भिन्न एवं दशमलव, औसत, समय और दूरी, मापन एवं मात्रक, मुद्रा, कैलेंडर, घड़ी और समय सारणी, पैटर्न। (Paper 2 में बीजगणित, अंकगणितीय समस्याएँ, ज्यामिति/क्षेत्रमिति पर अधिक जोर)
Mathematics (17 Chapters): Number System, LCM-HCF, Square-Square Root and Cube-Cube Root, Algebra, Arithmetic Problems, Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics & Data Handling, Mathematical Operations, Fractions and Decimals, Average, Time and Distance, Units and Measurement, Money, Calendar, Clock and Time Table, Pattern. (Paper 2 has more emphasis on Algebra, Arithmetic Problems, Geometry/Mensuration)

Pedagogy (8 Chapters): Nature of Mathematics, Place in Curriculum, Language of Mathematics, Community Mathematics, Evaluation in Mathematics, Problems of Teaching, Error Analysis in Math Teaching, Diagnostic and Remedial Teaching. (Paper 2 Pedagogy is more in-depth, especially evaluation and error analysis)

CTET Paper 2 Mathematics Pedagogy section has 6-7 questions. It includes: Nature of Mathematics (logical thinking, abstraction), Place of Mathematics in curriculum (NCF 2005), Language of Mathematics (symbols, vocabulary), Community Mathematics (connection to daily life), Evaluation in Mathematics (CCE, assessment types), Problems of Teaching (learning difficulties in mathematics), Error Analysis in Math Teaching, Diagnostic and Remedial Teaching (error identification, remediation). In Paper 2, Pedagogy is asked in more depth, especially Error Analysis and Evaluation.
